TRIAL DATE SET FOR GALWAY TAXI DRIVER FOR ALLEGED CHILD SEX ABUSE

A Co. Galway taxi driver has been sent forward for trial in October, charged with the alleged sexual abuse of two children.Sergeant Frank Broderick told Galway district court he had served a Book of Evidence on the 45 years old man at Galway Courthouse today.Judge Aeneus McCarthy returned the man for trial to Galway Circuit Criminal Court on October 6 next and he remanded him on bail, as set by the High Court, on the man’s own surety of €3,000, and an independent surety of €6,000.
