TRAFFIC CHAOS IN CITY FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE EVENING

Galway city is experiencing traffic chaos for the second evening in a row

Roadworks are underway at University Road and the Newcastle junction at the end of the Quincentenary Bridge as well as at Séamus Quirke Road.

Many city arteries are grinding to a halt and most roundabouts are congested.

Works on University Road are due to finish early next week although the upgrade works at the Newcastle junction off the Bridge could last several weeks.
