Talented Galway acts aim for All-Ireland glory

A group of set dancers from the Abbeyknockmoy area carry the favourite tag into the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Talent Show as they once again seek the public’s support to win the coveted title.
Cosa Beoga are now the 11/4 favourites with Paddy Power bookmakers to win the popular RTE show which goes out on Sunday evening.
They have become one of the most popular acts ever to appear on the show and have given some wonderful displays of set dancing and brush dancing during their performances.
And this week they have been supported in their quest to win the title by some of the county’s best known GAA stars including Padraic Joyce, Michael Meehan, Alan Kerins and Cyril Donnellan.
Their parents and their mentor Marie Moran Greaney have nearly been as busy as some of the recent general election candidates in trying to win votes for the group, who were thrilled to meet some of their sporting idols.
All of the members of Cosa Beoga are part of the hugely successful Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancing Club and they are Joseph and Keith Boyle, Colin Kelly, Adam and Lauren Hession, Meabh Boyle, Elisha Conneely, Lorna Devane, Robert Carr and Shauna Boyle.
Also appearing on the same show this Sunday is well known singer/songwriter Don Stiffe who has also come through the qualifying rounds and is a 9/1 chance with the bookmakers.
