SPECIAL MEETING FOR BALLYMOE TURF CUTTERS
Date Published: 09-Sep-2011
A special meeting is to be held tonight in Ballymoe to discuss the turf cutting ban in local bog complexes.
The bogs designated as special areas of conservation are located in Corliskea, Trien and Cloonfelliv.
It's part of a series of nationwide talks being organised by the Turf Cutters and Contractors Association - the group opposed to the EU directive which outlaws turf cutting on family bogs.
Tonight's meeting takes place in Ballymoe Community Centre from 9.
