Up to 20 rickshaws are operating around the city illegally.

That's according to the Chairman of the City Joint Policing Committee Councillor Padraig Conneely.

He claims around 30 rickshaws are in use, even though just 12 licences have been issued.

City Manager Joe O' Neill says byelaws on rickshaws are in place, and it's a Garda role to restrict their operation and implement legislation.
