Six contractors to receive formal tender documents for Ballinfoille centre
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Six contractors are to receive formal tender documents this week for the long-awaited Ballinfoille project.
The project is valued at 3.2 million euro and is expected to take around 12 months.
The Ballinfoille project will consist of a community centre and a series of community meeting rooms.
It will be located on a site on the Headford Road acquired by the City Council and will serve the community of Ballinfoille and Castlegar.
The first stage of the tendering and procurement process is now complete and six contractors are now to receive formal tender documents.
They must submit their price tenders by the end of July.
City officials hope a contractor will be in place by October.
