The HSE West has put strict visitor restrictions in place on all hospitals in Galway in a bid to stop the spread of swine flu.

Children under 14 are asked not to visit hospitals in Galway and all other visitors only attend the hospital when absolutely necessary.

All necessary visitors to the hospital must use the alcohol gel supplied at entrances.

The HSE is asking anyone with symptoms of swine flu to avoid going to the hospital or any healthcare facility.
