Public meeting on septic tank inspection plan to be held in Loughrea
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The first in a series of information sessions on septic tank inspections and related grant schemes takes place in Loughrea this evening.
The public meeting takes place at Galway County Council's Area Office in Loughrea from 4 to 8 this evening.
This will be followed by a meeting in the Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort tomorrow evening, with another in The Boat Inn in Oughterard on Wednesday evening.
The final session in the county series is to be held in Tuam Town Hall on Thursday evening.
98 inspections are to be carried out throughout the county by June next year.
91 percent of county households registered their septic tanks.
Galway County Council Director of Services Jim Cullen says inspections will commence at the end of this month.
