A public meeting will be held in Galway city tonight (10/04), to show people how a green home can lead to lower household bills.

'Green Home' is an environmental programme, run by An Taisce, that advises householders on how they can save cash and help the planet at the same time.

Themes to be covered at this evening's meeting at half seven in The Meyrick hotel include waste, energy, water, and sustainable travel.

Householders will be advised that carrying out certain actions in the home, will result in much lower utility bills, and help to protect the environment

The Green Home Programme is run as a stipulation for Tidy Towns, under the Waste Management section of the national competition.
