Public meeting about future of another county post office
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A public meeting will take place in Cappataggle tonight (3/6) over the future of the post office. The postmistress passed away recently, throwing doubt over the future of the post service licence. The post office in Cappataggle has been run by the Dooley family since the early 1940s. An Post says it will carry out a review of the service but will wait until after the months mind mass for the postmistress. A public meeting will take place at Cappataggle Community Centre at 8 o' clock this evening to discuss the future of the post office. A group of people from the Barnaderg Post Office Action Group, who are still awaiting a decision on the future of that post office, are also due to attend.
