The Galway Association which provides services to people with intellectual disabilities has given itself a new name.Ability West will be launched this afternoon at the group's headquarters in Blackrock House, Salthill.The organisation offers support to people with intellectual disabilities throughout the city and county.It has child education and development centres in Portumna, Tuam, Carraroe, Glenamaddy and Ballinasloe providing education for people under 18 years.Chief Executive Officer Breda Crehan Roche says the group's new name signifies the moving forward of the organisation
