Voters in the Tuam area are being reassured that earlier problems with a missing stamper have now been resolved.

The missing stamp at one of the polling stations at St Patrick's primary school on the Dublin road caused delays.

Returning Officer for Galway East, Derry Buckley says each of the 10 stations in the Tuam polling station should now have the required stamp.

The missing stamper was delivered by an inspector at 7.15 this morning due to reports of people being turned away.
