POST MORTEMS DUE TO GET UNDERWAY ON AIR CORPS PILOTS

Post mortem examinations are due to get underway on the bodies of the two pilots who lost their lives in last night's plane crash in Connemara.The remains of 32 year old Captain Derek Furness and 22 year old Cadet David Jevens arrived at University Hospital Galway around 4 o'clock. They were taken down by a military recovery team just after 3pm and a short prayer service was held at the foot of the mountain at Cornamona. The post mortem examinations will be carried out at UHG and funeral arrangements will get underway after that.
