PORTIUNCULA HOSPITAL WELCOMES HIGHER HYGIENE RATING

Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is welcoming the improvement in its hygiene standards. The hospital has improved its rating from 'Poor' in 2007 to 'Fair' this year in the latest hygiene review by the Health Information and Quality Authority. In a statement to Galway Bay FM News, a spokesperson said that while Portiuncula Hospital was disappointed at the overall 'Fair' rating, staff were pleased it marked a 'significant' improvement on the 'poor' rating received in 2007.
