PORTIUNCULA HOSPITAL DISPUTE RAISED AT REGIONAL HEALTH FORUM

The HSE and the Irish Nurses Organisation are being urged to redouble their efforts to resolve an ongoing dispute at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.The dispute involving 5 senior nurse managers has been lingering since last September and efforts by both sides to engage in talks have so far proven unsuccessful.The 5 nursing staff are on sick leave from the hospital at present.The dispute originated when the staff raised concerns about patient care and working conditions at the hospital.
