Plans to upgrade dangerous Kinvara road progressed
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Planning for works on a dangerous stretch of the N67 between Ballinderreen and Kinvara has been progressed. At this week's meeting of the County Council, councillors approved Part 8 plans for realignment works on a 3 kilometre stretch of the road. Residents have raised concerns about potholes and sections of the road where buses cannot safely pass. Director of Services Liam Gavin says management has met with residents groups to address concerns about lay-bys, signage and speed limits. A meeting is to be organised between council officials and stakeholder groups when the project reaches the design stage. It's hoped that works can begin in early 2015.
