PLANNING POLICIES OF COUNTY COUNCIL TO BE CONSISTENT WITH OTHER COUNTIES

Date Published: 22-Jun-2010

The planning policies of Galway County Council must be in line with the same standard as other local authorities.

Green Senator Niall O' Brolchain says his party leader John Gormley is attempting to achieve consistency in all planning departments across the country, through a review.

It's understood the review is based on the number of planning applications appealed to An Bord Pleanala following their approval by the councils' planning department.
