OVER 500 GALWAY PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS

The majority of personal injury claims made in Galway are related to road traffic accidents.

Over 500 claims were made in the city and county last year, slightly below the national average of awards made across the country.

Figures published by injuriesboard dot ie show that 9,800 personal injury cases were succesful in 2011, amounting to more than 210 million euro pay outs.

Limerick had the highest number of awards while Kilkenny had the lowest.
