O'CUIV ANNOUNCES REVIEW OF GAELTACHT COMMUNITY GROUPS

A review of the funding and organisation of community-based, state-funded organisations in the Gaeltacht is expected in the New Year.

Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht affairs Eamon O'Cuiv says the groups will be consulted before any changes are made.

The changes are likely to affect bodies funded by Udarás na Gaeltachta, Community Development projects and island organisations concerned with language, community, enterprise and social inclusion.
