NUI Galway project to improve community wellbeing

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A team at NUI Galway has embarked on a new project to help communities across Ireland measure and improve their wellbeing. The ChangeX project allows towns and villages to identify their strengths and weaknesses and find ways to improve quality of life in their communities. According to today's Irish Times, a wellbeing index has been developed to track progress in areas such as activities for children and the environment. It's hoped the identification of weaknesses can be used to launch and grow social innovations which will improve facilities and quality of life.
