NOVEMBER TRIAL FOR GARDA ACCUSED OF CORRUPTION

The trial of a 30 year old Garda, who is charged with issuing a false driving licence to his brother while he was formerly employed by Galway County Council, has been set for hearing on November 22.

Galway native Brendan Folan, of 97 Mount Anville Wood, Lower Kilmacud Road, Dublin 14, denies issuing the licence to Ciaran Folan on September 13, 2006.

He also denies corruptly obtaining an advantage for Ciaran Folan by issuing him with the licence while the accused was employed as a public official.
