NEW WATER SPORTS CENTRE TO BE BUILT IN THE CITY

Plans are in the pipeline to build a new Water Sports Centre in Galway city.Galway Vocational Education Committee has applied to the city council for planning permission to build the centre of the coast of Lough Atalia in Renmore.The VEC want permission to build a new Water Sports Centre, boat store, slipway and a floating jetty.The centre will be used solely for training and recreation purposes as the VEC says the demand for training in water sports has exceeded its current facilities.It's stated in the planning application that Lough Atalia is sheltered and will provide a safe environment to train students in water based activities.
