NEW CEO FOR GALWAY HOSPITALS SHORTLY

Galway University Hospitals should have a new CEO in the next ten days.

At this week's meeting of the Regional Health Forum, HSE Assistant National Director of Human Resources Francis Rogers confirmed the hiring process by a private management company is coming to a conclusion.

Chairman of the Health Forum, Councillor Padraig Conneely asked if the unions or consultants were unhappy about a private management team taking over.

However, Francis Rogers said there was never an issue of privatisation and the new CEO will be appointed in the next 7 to 10 days.
