Mental Health speakout event planned for Westside

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A mental health ‘speakout event' will take place in the city this week. Organised by ‘We're Not Leaving Galway', it'll include some short films which deal with mental health issues and talks by representatives of mental health organisations. We're Not Leaving is a nationwide youth anti-austerity campaign focusing on issues such as mental health, youth unemployment, fee hikes and forced emigration. The event, which is open to the public, will take place on Thursday at 7pm in Westside Community Centre. Joesph Loughnane of the We're Not Leaving group says young people in Galway need a chance to discuss their problems.
