Mayo TD to enter discussions on bid for seat in Galway West

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Mayo TD John O'Mahony says he'll enter discussions with Fine Gael about the possibility of running for a seat in Galway West at the next general election. The former Galway football manager lives at the edge of the Mayo constituency – which lost 10,000 voters to Galway West during boundary changes introduced in 2012. Currently, Galway West has two sitting Fine Gael TDs – Sean Kyne and Brian Walsh, while Mayo has four Fine Gael deputies and one Fianna Fáil TD. Deputy O'Mahony says the party will make the final decision.
