A man being questioned in relation to the disappearance of a missing Glenamaddy resident must be released or charged by 11 o'clock tonight.

The man, who's understood to be a foreign national in his 30s, had his period of detention extended for a further 24 hours last night by Judge Geoffrey Browne at a special sitting of Tuam District Court held in Galway.

He's being questioned in connection with the disappearance of Latvian national Juris Buls, who's been missing for over a fortnight.

He was last seen at his home on the Ballymore road, Glenamaddy late Thursday night July the 7th.
