MAN FROM BALLINASLOE AREA ALLEGES HE WAS SHOT AT BY ISRAELI SOLDIERS
A man from the Ballinasloe area alleges that he was shot at for a second time by Israeli soldiers while filming in Palestine.
Since then he alleges that he was attacked by people, he claims are Israeli settlers while filming and his camera was smashed.
He admits that when villagers from Ras Karkar urgently requested help when the village was under attack he responded along with some people from Bil'in.
It was during this incident that he claims his camera was broken into pieces by those who physically attacked him.
He alleges that he suffered injuries in another shooting incident when he says Israeli soldiers also shot at him while filiming in Palestine earlier this year.
A spokesman for The Department of Foreign affairs said neither Mr. Donnellan nor the ISPC [Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign] have raised the incident with the Department.
The Irish Embassy in Tel Aviv, who were in contact with Mr. Donnellan following a previous incident, will be following up on this latest report.
