MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT OF BOWLING GREEN APPROVED

Plans to redevelop part of old Galway City have been given the green light by city planners. Developers Pat O'Grady and Hugh Heskin are to build a four storey mixed-use centre on the site of a public car park on Bowling Green. The development will consist of two blocks with a new pedestrian street and civic square. Both buildings will contain shops, offices and 8 top-storey apartments.
