MAJOR CHANGE TO ORGANISATION OF GALWAY COURTS SERVICE

The Chief Justice Susan Denham is visiting the city this lunchtime where she is to formally establish the Combined Galway Court Office.

The Unified Office Project is part of the national Courts Service Action Plan to implement the terms of the public service Croke Park Agreement.

It represents a major to the organisation of the courts in Galway.

Patti Mulkerrin will be appointed as manager of the new facility, which follows a pilot project in sites in Ennis, Monaghan and Naas.
