M6 OFFICIAL OPENING UNDERWAY IN BALLINASLOE

The official opening of the M6 motorway linking Galway to Dublin is underway.The Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey is opening up the final section of the road on budget and four months early.The journey time from city to city is now believed to take two hours.At a cost of €427 million the motorway will allow drivers to bypass bottlenecks such as Ballinasloe, Loughrea and Oranmore.
