LOUGHREA RESIDENT WHO BIT A MANS LIP LOSES APPEAL

An englishman living in Loughrea, who bit the lower lip of another man during a fight has lost his appeal against the severity of his sentence.40 year old Joesph Boreham of St. Brendens Terrace Loughrea was in court yesterday appealing the severity of a three year sentence imposed on him at Galway Circuit Court last july .The Court of criminal appeal heard how Boreham had bit the lip of another man in an argument outside a pub in Loughrea.Today's Irish Times reports Boreham had previous convictions in England and the three judge court dismissed his appeal
