Galway's farmers could soon come to the aid of the cash-strapped county council if their offer to maintain Renville Park in Oranmore is accepted.A number of farmers in the Oranmore area have approached Senator Fidelma Healy-Eames offering to cut 30 acres of grass on an on-going basis in the park, which has fallen into a bad state since a FAS scheme was scrapped. As part of the agreement the farmers have also offered to indemnify the county council for insurance purposes.Senator Healy-Eames is describing the offer as a 'win-win' situation for all concerned.
