The general manager of Barringtons Hospital in Limerick says that while the hospital was resposible for 2 mised diagnoses, the other was the fault of University Hospital Galway.Denis Cahalane was speaking after the release of a report into the Review of Symptomatic Breast Care Services at Barringtons Hospital between September 2003 and August 2007.According to today's Irish Examiner, Mr. Cahalane says a mistake was made at UHG where tissue was sent for analysis and no malignancy was found. While Barringtons accepts responsibility for misreading a mammogram, it also maintains that UHG also erred.
