HUNDREDS OF GALWAY ESB CUSTOMERS WITHOUT SERVICE

Date Published: 03-Jan-2012

Up to 500 ESB customers across the county are without electricty this morning after a night of high winds and heavy showers.

Areas worst affected include Ballinasloe town and parts of Derrybrien, however power is expected to be restored by lunchtime.

Nationally, around 11 thousand homes are still without power after the violent storms.

Brian Montayne from ESB says crews are continuing to work on the problem.
