HSE WEST TO REVEAL BUDGETS IN SEPTEMBER

The HSE West will reveal it's financial position to unions at the end of next month.

It follows the sudden cancellation of a meeting which was due to take place in Merlin Park tomorrow.

Unions had been hoping to hear details of the HSE West's budgetary plans for the final quarter of 2011.

The meeting is now scheduled for Monday September 26th.

Spokesperson for the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation in Galway, Noreen Muldoon, says the delay is disappointing with mounting fears of further cuts to frontline services.
