HEARING AGAINST OUTER CITY BYPASS BEGINS AT COMMERICAL COURT

The hearing has opened at the Commerical court between environmental campaigner Peter Sweetman against An Bord Pleanala and the State over the outer city bypass. The Irish Times is reporting An Bord Pleanála approved the city bypass last November after finding the impact of the project on the Lough Corrib conservation area, while “locally severe”, would not adversely affect the “integrity” of the site, the court heard yesterday.
