Guide for Magdalene laundries survivors launched
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A guide for survivors of Magdalene Laundries has been published - to help them understand their entitlements.
Last month - a redress scheme was announced by the government - under which survivors will get payments of up to €100,000 and enhanced State pension entitlements.It's in recognition of the time they spent in the laundries, such as the one at Forster Street in the city.The Guide will be available to download from the Justice For Magdalenes Research website at www.magdalenelaundries.com
