GREENSTAR GIVEN GO AHEAD TO DUMP ASBESTOS IN KILCONNELL

Waste disposal company Greenstar has been given permission to accept toxic waste at a landfill in Kilconnell.

Greenstar applied to the Enviromental Protection Agency to allow it to accept asbestos late last year.

It was met with huge opposition from local residents and the County Council.

Despite this, the EPA has given the green light subject to a number of conditions.
