GORT TO TUAM MOTORWAY MAY BENEFIT FROM EIB FUNDING

The Government is to focus funding on the M17/M18 motorway from Gort to Tuam, including a by-pass of Tuam from the national Capital Investment Project.
Other potential projects up for development include a health campus on the Grove site in Tuam.
Galway East Labour TD Colm Keaveney is meeting with Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin this week.
He's seeking confirmation of the funding from the European Investment bank as an investment loan to the Government.
Despite the lack of a triple A rated bank in Ireland, Deputy Keaveney is confident the Government can secure the loan for these vital infrastructure projects.
