GORT MAN HAS SENTENCING DEFERRED IN CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CASE

The sentencing of a Gort man over a child pornography offence has been deferred until December.
Noel Murphy of 2 Sheehaun, Ballysheedy in Gort appeared before Galway Circuit Court.
Dublin born Murphy had pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography when he was arraigned in January.
He was first arrested on June 2nd last year [2011] and was later charged.
Judge Raymond Groarke adjourned the matter to 17th December pending feedback and further reports from the probation service.
