GO-AHEAD FOR WELLPARK ROAD MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT

Plans to construct a mixed use development on the Wellpark Road have been given the go-ahead.

Permission has been granted subject to a list of 39 conditions.

Galway Bay fm news reports the plan will see the demolition of an existing restaurant/takeaway, shop and bookmakers office and five one-bed apartments at No.69 Wellpark Road.

It will also involve the construction of a dual aspect, mixed use development over four storeys, comprised of a restaurant/takeaway, a bookmakers and 3 retail units at ground floor.

The development will also have specialist office space at the first, second and third floor levels accessed from both the IDA Business and Technology Park, Mervue and the Wellpark Road.
