Go-ahead for changes at Galway Jehovah Witness base
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Permission has been granted for an additional Irish language translation room at the Galway Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in the city.
City planners have given the go-ahead subject to five conditions.
The application sets out to build the room to the rear of its existing base at 145 Tirellan Heights on the Headford Road.
It also includes an extension to the front entrance area to facilitate internal layout changes.
Of the five conditions attached, one states that the building is strictly limited for use as a place of worship and shall not be used for any commercial purposes.
