GIRL HOSPITALISED AFTER RECESS CRASH

A 15 year old girl was taken to hospital last evening [Oct 2] after she was struck by the wing mirror of a car in the Recess area of Connemara.

The pedestrian was crossing the road in the Shannakeela area at around 5.30pm after getting off a bus.

She was taken to University Hospital Galway where she was treated for non-serious injuries.

An investigation into the incident will be carried out by Gardai.
