It was a crash that saw four young teenagers hospitalised

The people of Ballygar and Ahascragh have been coming together for young teenager Liam Gordon and his family after he was rushed to a Dublin hospital after a serious crash at the end of August.

Special ‘masses of healing’ have been held for the local teenager weekly since he was involved in the collision which saw four young teenagers hospitalised.

Just yesterday, locals were told once again to “please keep Liam Gordon and the Gordon family in your thoughts and prayers this week”.

The young boy, who was a front seat passenger in the car, has been transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a serious condition after the single vehicle accident in Clonberne in Ballinasloe.

The three passengers in the back of the car, also all male teenagers, were brought by ambulance to Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe following the accident.

His local church, St Cuan's in Ahascragh has held the masses at least once a week since the crash.

The church said: “Rest assured the thoughts and prayers of our communities are with him and the family at this difficult time.”
