There is going to be some ‘changeable’ weather according to forecasters

Met Eireann has updated its weather forecast as some heavy bursts of rain will hit across Ireland at several times this week.

Tuesday will start with sunny spells and some heavy showery bursts which will become longer spells of rain across the afternoon.

Parts in the south will stay fully dry with a fresh day showing temperatures hitting 17C but this will be later met towards the night with brisk wind and more showers.

Temperatures will drop to as low as 6C overnight with showers becoming isolated and affecting the west the most.

Here’s what Met Eireann has in store for the rest of the week:

Overview: Changeable with dry, bright and calm days, followed in turn by wet or showery ones.

Tomorrow: “Wednesday will be a largely dry day with just light west to southwest breezes. Sunny spells will occur across the eastern half of the country but it will be generally cloudier elsewhere with some drizzle or light showers. Becoming cloudier everywhere later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, best values further east.”

Wednesday night: “Dry early on, before cloudy outbreaks of rain will gradually move into the west and southwest overnight. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees with mostly moderate southerly winds.”

Thursday: “Generally dry further east, however cloudy outbreaks of rain will become widespread by early afternoon with some heavy bursts over Ulster. A clearance to sunny spells and well-scattered showers will move in the west and southwest during the afternoon, extending elsewhere later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in a moderate, occasionally fresh, southerly wind.”

Friday: “A much drier and brighter day with a mix of sunny spells and isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with just light northwesterly breezes.”
