GALWAY TD SEEKS LONG TERM PLAN ON SCHOOL LEAVERS

Galway East TD Paul Connaughton has called on the Education Minister to provide funding for school leavers with intellectual disabilities.

It follows concerns raised by Galway families and the Ballinasloe Advocacy Group over the lack of further training opportunities for school leavers throughout the county and nationwide.

The matter was brought before the Dail this week when Deputy Connaughton asked the Minister to put a short and long term plan in place to fill this void.
