An NUI Galway student is successfully juggling her studies with a hectic new career as a TV presenter on RTÉ 2.
Daniella Moyles, an Arts student at the University, became the co-presenter of the new television series Bulletin TV with Aidan Power last month and has since been balancing her studies with trips around the world to interview a host of sports stars and celebrities.
The programme, sponsored by energy drink manufacturer Red Bull, covers areas as diverse as music, fashion, extreme sports and photography; and has so far featured interviews with personalities in Switzerland, the USA and Milan.
The 22-year old model began studying Psychology through Arts at NUI Galway in 2007 and came third in the Miss Ireland competition in the same year. Originally from Naas in Co Kildare, she has also worked with Assets modelling agency.
Ms Moyles was considered for a position as a co-host of the TV3 series Xpose last summer following the departure of Lorraine Keane and Sybil Mulcahy, but is delighted to have landed the job on the new RTE series.
“Bulletin TV is like nothing else on Irish television at the moment. It is seriously cool and fast-paced,” she said. “There’s so much more to come that I can’t wait for everyone to see.
“We’ve had a crazy journey over the past few months travelling the world filming for the show and I just hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as we have enjoyed making it.”
Bulletin TV is broadcast on RTÉ 2 on Thursday evenings at 7pm and is currently in its fourth week since it was launched last month.
