GALWAY SENATOR MAKES FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST MINISTER O KEEFE

Galway based, Fine Gael Senator, Fidelma Healy-Eames, has lodged an official complaint against Education Minister, Batt O' Keefe.

The complaint has been made to the Committee on Procedure and Privileges in the Dáil about what she alleges was "personally hostile behaviour" towards her.

Senator Healy-Eames claims this behaviour has culminated in threats of legal action if she continued highlighting the effects of cutting special needs assistants.

In the past, a spokesperson for Minister O' Keefe has described the allegations as "utter nonsense and completely without basis"
