GALWAY SENATOR CALLS FOR DNA DATABASE LEGISLATION

Galway Senator Fidelma Healy Eames says DNA Database legislation is needed immediately to help Gardaí fight crime.The Fine Gael Senator is calling on the Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan to legislate for the provision and completion of a DNA Database enabling Gardaí to take and store DNA samples.Senator Healy Eames says a comphrehensive DNA Database would allow more efficent use of Garda time and resources.
