Date Published: 27-Jul-2012
Galway parents are being recruited as part of an education programme on the treatment of coughs and colds in young children.
The online initiative is being run by NUI Galway's School of Psychology with a focus on dispelling myths relating to over-the-counter treatments.
There are more than 200 different cold viruses with children at greatest risk of catching between 7 to 10 of these a year.
Researchers are particularly interested in parents of children aged 3years to 6.
Teresa Corbett, researcher at the college says the NUIG education programme provides a reliable online resource for treating childrens ailments.
Those who wish to participate are asked to contact Teresa Corbett at NUI Galway.
